FEEDBACK

Week 8:

Independent Learning Week

Week 9:
  • General feedback:Ms. Vitiyaa looked at our design of "H, O, G, B" and gave her comments.
  • Specific feedback : Ms. Vitiyaa commented on my design and taught me some design styles. The writing style should not be too uniform or too rigid.

Week 10:
  • General feedback:This week Ms. Vitiyaa commented on what we did.
  •  Specific feedback : Ms. Vitiyaa commented on the font I made and gave me some suggestions for revisions. He also checked my Eportfolio and pointed out my mistakes.

Week 11:
  • General feedback:This week we continued to refine the font.
  • Specific feedback : Ms. Vitiyaa still gave us guidance and taught us how to import the finished fonts into FontLab7.
Week 12:
  • General feedback:We have basically completed all the tasks we set out to do this week, but there are still some that need to be revised.
  • Specific feedback : Ms. Vitiyaa gave me some suggestions on my poster, and I made a better poster with her guidance.

REFLECTIONS

Experience

I found this assignment very challenging. I was daunted at first when I was asked to design the font myself, but with the guidance of Ms. Vitiyaa and following Mr. Vinod's videos, I was able to complete the assignment successfully. This was my first time designing a font, so I am proud of my result.

Observation

In the process of making fonts, I observed many fonts and learned about the characteristics of different fonts. I also appreciated the fonts designed by other students through Google Feedback Sheet. Everyone has different creativity.

Findings

Although I think the process of designing fonts is difficult, I learned a lot while completing this task. I paid attention to the structural differences between different fonts. In addition, I became more proficient in using Illustrator.
