INSTRUCTIONS

TASK

Requirements

Choose a recipe from the Pasta Grannies@ channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/pastagrannies/videos) and create an infographic poster.

Poster size: 1240 × 1750 pixels or 2048 × 2048 pixels

The poster should include step-by-step instructions and be educational.

This project requires us to create an infographic poster based on a video selected from the Pasta Grannies YouTube channel.

Selected Grandmother:

Italian Nonnas make Cheesy Egg Dumplings from Molise

Visual Research

Next, I looked for some references and inspiration on Pinterest. Below are some examples of recipe infographics that I found online and drew inspiration from.

After completing the materials, I started making the poster.
This is my first design, and Sir said my layout is a bit messy.

I revised my layout, this is the second version.

Sir said it wasn't clear enough and drew me a design draft.

Which I then began to modify.

FEEDBACK

Week 6
Started visual research and digital drawing for the poster. My first layout was a bit messy and needed better organization.

Week 7
Revised the layout based on the sir's feedback. The final version became clearer and easier to follow.

REFLECTIONS

Experience

For this project, I created an infographic poster based on the Pasta Grannies video “Italian Nonnas make Cheesy Egg Dumplings from Molise.” I first watched the video and selected the recipe, then did visual research on Pinterest to find inspiration for recipe infographic layouts. After that, I chose a light yellow color scheme with dark text and started drawing the ingredients and other visual elements digitally. I made several versions of the poster and revised the layout based on my lecturer’s comments before completing the final outcome.

Observations

During the design process, I noticed that having many illustrations does not always make the poster better. My first layout looked messy because the information was not arranged clearly. I learned that infographic posters need a strong visual hierarchy and a clear reading flow so the audience can understand the recipe steps easily.

Findings

From this project, I found that layout planning is very important in infographic design. A clean and organized structure helps the audience understand the content better. I also learned that feedback from the lecturer is useful because it helped me improve the clarity and overall effectiveness of my poster.
