  • Wang JinYi 0374697

Group Member:

  • Lee Rong Zi 0388347
  • Loong Swee Man 0390016
  • Shi ManLin 0375858
  • Yang YiLun 0375973
  • Zhang ZiHan 0375835

Song: The Chainsmokers - Closer

We divided the lyrics into 7 parts, and each member was assigned at least four or more lines of lyrics.

Wang Jin Yi - Part 1
Shi Man Lin - Part 2
Yang Yi Lun - Part 3
Lee Rong Zi - Part 4
Loong Swee Man - Part 5
Ma Xi Ai - Part 6
Zhang Zi Han - Part 7

Progress

One of our members, Ma Xi Ai, didn't provide an update until a few days before submission. After communicating with her, we deduced that her part wouldn't be updated anymore, so Lee Rong zi and I took over her work, while the other members continued creating the wordless animation. After everyone completed their respective tasks, the team leader merged all the materials into a single, complete video.

REFLECTIONS

Experience

In Project Two, I completed three animation tasks: Dynamic Typography, Line Graph animation, and Vector Animation. For the Dynamic Typography task, I worked with my group to experiment with moving text that could convey emotion and meaning. We tried different speeds, styles, and layouts to see how movement changes the way people read and feel the text. In the Line Graph task, I focused on making data more interactive by showing changes over time instead of a static chart. For Vector Animation, I created simple moving graphics, paying attention to smooth motion and how each element transitions to the next. This project helped me understand how to combine design and motion to communicate ideas clearly.

Observations

I noticed that even small movements can make a big difference in how information is received. For Dynamic Typography, timing and rhythm made text feel more alive. Working in a team brought different perspectives, which led to more creative solutions. In the Line Graph task, animated visuals guided the viewer’s eyes and made trends easier to follow. In Vector Animation, I realized that the smallest adjustments—like easing and speed—can make the animation feel natural or awkward, showing how much detail matters in motion design.

Findings

Through this project, I learned that motion is not just decoration—it is a tool for guiding attention and improving understanding. Clear timing, smooth transitions, and visual hierarchy are essential for effective animation. I also improved my ability to plan and execute animations that support the message rather than distract from it. Overall, Project Two taught me to think about how movement and design work together to communicate information more effectively.
