FINAL TASK 3 ARTWORK
When modifying this painting, I chose to darken the surrounding characters to highlight the individual characters, because I think this can highlight the subject, so that the characters can find the center point at a glance and understand the most important part of the painting. I also chose a striking yellow as the title instead of a color similar to the color of the painting, because I think this can attract people's attention more and quickly know what the painting wants to express.
Originally I was going to place all the text on the left, but I found that if I did that, the visual center would shift to the left, so I chose to place the text halfway to one side.
Originally I wanted to brighten just the middle figure, but I found that the image would become a bit flat if I did that, so I added a brighter figure on each side.
This artwork has a warm, comforting feel to it. The woman in the foreground has her eyes and forehead in shadow, while light falls on her mouth and chin. This is the person the artist wants us to focus on, so I brightened her up.
FINAL REFLECTION
1)What have I learnt in this module?
I learned a lot about how to use various design principles. I learned that design principles are closely related to our lives and can be seen everywhere, which made me understand its importance.
2)What did I enjoy the most? What did I not enjoy the most?
My favorite part of the whole module was modifying the designs. I found it interesting, exciting and fun because I could put my own ideas into the artwork. My least favorite part was analyzing the design principles because I had no prior knowledge of design principles and it was a bit difficult for me.
3)What have I learnt about myself through this module?
I am becoming more and more proficient in the principles of design, and I am finding more and more fun in designing. I am also becoming more proficient in using design software.
4)What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?
What has changed is that as I explore and learn design principles, I have a stronger interest in design and a more comprehensive understanding of design.
What has not changed is that I still often run out of ideas during the design process.
5)What are my aspirations?
I hope to learn more about design and apply it better in the future. I hope to design better works in the future.
