REFLECTIONS
Experience
For this final compilation, I gathered all my major information design projects from this semester and organized them into one page. This included Project 1 (the original cheese egg dumplings infographic), Project 2 (motion design tasks), and Project 3 (the animated infographic video). I documented each project’s outcome with images, links, and brief descriptions. I also arranged the visual materials to show how my design skills and understanding of information design have developed over time. This allowed me to reflect on the entire learning process and present the full progression of my work in a clear and structured manner.
Observations
While compiling all the projects, I noticed a clear pattern in how my design thinking has changed. In earlier work, I focused primarily on visual elements like color and illustration, but in later projects I became more attentive to how information is communicated and received. I observed that many design decisions — such as layout, hierarchy, and pacing — evolved as I gained a better understanding of information design principles. I also saw that presenting the work in a unified compilation helped me think more critically about the quality and consistency of my own design style.
Findings
Through this final compilation, I learned that the value of information design is not just in how something looks, but more importantly in how well it communicates ideas to others. By comparing projects from different stages of the semester, I found that my ability to organize and present information has improved significantly. I also realized that reflecting on my own design process helps me identify areas for future growth, such as refining visual hierarchy or improving clarity in motion graphics. Overall, this compilation gave me a deeper perspective on my learning journey and helped me see design progress as a continuous process rather than a one-time result.
